Edward Hourani

Edward has been actively involved in a progressive and evolving healthcare industry since 2002. With nearly thirteen years of industry experience, Edward has played an integral role in the administration of clinical, operational, IT, and development aspects of hospitals, physician practices, and urgent care facilities. He has also held strategic and operational positions with Seton Family of Hospitals in Austin, TX and Health Management Associates based in Naples, FL. Currently, he leads a privately-owned healthcare consulting firm, Hourani & Associates, LLC. His firm specializes in providing healthcare organizations with strategic guidance in leveraging IT technologies to reduce operational inefficiencies and maximize financial health. The firm specializes in Revenue-cycle and EHR project management. They currently have engagements in several ICD-10, EHR, and HIPAA 5010 projects across the US involving several platforms such as Siemens Invision, Meditech, MediSeries 4, Cerner, and RevCycle applications from the SSI Group such as SSI ClickOn. Edward has served on the Advisory Board for The SSI Group Inc, a leading healthcare claims management company responsible for processing 600 million EDI transactions totaling $800 billion in healthcare transactions annually. As a board member for the Palmetto State Providers Network in South Carolina, Edward oversaw a $750M FCC-funded project aimed at upgrading technology infrastructure across the state and involving over 165 hospitals to increase quality of care provided.
