David Y Choi, Ph.D. is a national award-winning teacher of Entrepreneurship; Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship; and Director of the Business Incubator in the College of Business Administration at Loyola Marymount University. He has also been a visiting professor at Peking University, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and Korea University. In the past, he was a researcher and founding member of the Leadership Initiative at Harvard Business School.

David has been involved with a number of entrepreneurial ventures. He has co-founded and sold 3 biotech companies and is currently managing his 4th biotech company. In addition, David has co-founded and managed several companies in foods, trading, energy, and financial services. David has been CEO and director of both private and public companies.

David also works closely with Grove Street Capital Advisors, a specialty finance firm in Los Angeles and Delos Investment Management, a leading hedge fund in the oceanic shipping industry. David continues to advise several other prominent ventures in biotechnology and software.

Before LMU, David worked nearly 10 years as a management consultant and executive at Global Fortune 500 companies in both the U.S. and overseas. David was a strategy consultant with The Boston Consulting Group where he was a member of the Los Angeles and Seoul offices. At Titan Corporation, a diversified technology company, David was responsible for various aspects of corporate venturing, including technology commercialization, venture investments, and growth. 

David received his Ph.D. in Management from The Anderson School at UCLA and a M.S. & B.S. in Industrial Engineering from UC Berkeley.
