Most frustrating: working on something for months without being able to tell anyone about it... I hate keeping secrets. Most rewarding: shipping a product, showing it to people and seeing them enjoy the thing you made.
Trying to take on more than they can handle. Knowing yourself is a huge part of being a successful entrepreneur, and you have to know what your limits are. You aren't any use to any one if you are burned out or in over your head. You have to be realistic and know when and where you need help. Being practical and keeping a level head is, surprisingly, key to accomplishing big things!
An ounce of planning is worth a pound of production, the user is never wrong and you don't know anything until you test it.
I started making Facebook apps when the platform opened up in 2007. By 2010 I was ranked in the top 10 developers by traffic across all Facebook app developers. Went on to be VP of Product at OMGPOP, where I helped design and produce the hit game Draw Something which was downloaded by over 50 million people. I am now developing a variety of games and music software based on my own original concepts.
