Created and set up a joint commissioned medical practice and grew it to over 7 locations from 1989 to 2008 seeing over 150,000 patient visits which accounted for 8-10 percent of the population in Las Vegas annually.
I like thinking outside the box and creating things.
Take longer than anticipated. Rewarding part is seeing project / company come to fruition and implementing new ideas that come together bigger than you once dreamed of.
Not testing before implementation or vetting project with certainty and having enough capital to run the business or project for a period of time needed.
Have a great business plan that is scalable with great personnel to work with and have enough capital to get through the plan.
Dr. Anthony Pollard, Board certified physician with over 30 years experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Pollard did his medical training in Tulsa Oklahoma and served his country in the navy as a flight surgeon in Pensacola Florida flying A-6 and A-7’s from 1983-1988. Board Certified in Family Practice in both Nevada and Oklahoma, Dr. Pollard opened his first family practice office in North Las Vegas with a vision of providing quality health care to the Las Vegas community. He opened his first medical clinic on the west side of Las Vegas giving life to Rainbow Medical Center, a full service medical facility.
With an eye for business and a commitment to patient needs, he strategically assessed the areas of the fastest growth to identify locations that would make quality health care accessible and convenient for his growing list of patients. In the years that followed, three more clinics were opened in the east, north and in Summerlin,.
In 1995, another Rainbow Medical Center was opened in Chinatown Plaza and like the other four clinics, instantly thrived. In 1998, Rainbow Medical Center opened two more clinics to serve families in the Green Valley community and another on Craig Road in North Las Vegas. In October of that same year, Rainbow Medical Centers met the rigorous performances standards established by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and became the first independent primary and urgent care facility in the Las Vegas area to received its’ full accreditation.
