Full bio

Adam Adelman, CFA – Mr. Adelman is the Co-Founder and CEO of Mighty Cast.  The concept for the company was borne out of his experience at The Juno Company and is based on the combination of three simple theses about children’s behavior: they love to immerse themselves in deep story-worlds in a communal way; they enjoy collecting; and they grew up with mobile content and games but are in the habit of consuming them for free.  He started the company in 2011 by building out the content development and technology teams in silos but gradually blended them together as the prototype of their product was built.  Mr. Adelman has both Universal U.S. and PCT patents pending on the technology.  He will continue to lead the company’s technology development and bring the product to market along with their partners.

Mr. Adelman co-founded The Juno Company (formerly Juno Baby) in 2003.  The Juno Company is a media company, which produced educational content for children.  The company carried an ancillary line of apparel, DVDs, CDs, toys, and books.  Together with Co-Founder Belinda Takahashi, Ph.D. (below), he sold control of the company in 2009 and he remained as a company Director and President tasked with expanding the company’s brand to an older demographic.  The result was the creation and production of the virtual world “Harmonia Springs” and three new titles for which he won two Emmy Awards.  Simultaneously, Mr. Adelman produced and launched 4 mobile apps, 3 of which appeared in Apple’s Top 10 List and Time Magazine’s Top 25 iPad App List.  Mr. Adelman managed distribution and oversaw marketing.  As a result, the company’s line of products was carried by specialty and mass retailers around the world and saw tremendous press and partnerships.  Together with Dr. Takahashi, he put together licensing deals with CPLG, television partnerships with CCI, and co-marketing partnerships with Motorola where the company’s Android app was pre-installed on Xoom tablets and was included in all of Motorola’s packaging and marketing materials.

Prior to The Juno Company, Mr. Adelman had 13 years of experience as a New Media and Technology Analyst with various Hedge Funds and Investment Banks.  His opinions have been cited in Time Magazine, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNN, Forbes, Fast Company, Venture Beat, among others.  He is a frequent speaker on the merging of traditional media with new technologies as well as new business models for content.  He has been invited to speak on cross merchandising between digital and physical worlds at TEDx, the INplay Conference and, most recently, he spoke at the X-Summit Canadian Interactive Showcase presented by the CMF.  Mr. Adelman has a CFA designation and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
