Srivats Sampath MERCORA President & CEO Srivats Sampath is Founder, President & CEO of Mercora Inc., the largest social music & media network in the world powered by the people, for the people. Mercora, based on a next-gen Radio 2.0 platform, is the only way people can search and listen on-demand to complete music and other audio files legally. Sampath brings twenty years of management, executive and technical experience to this exciting venture, and is achieving excellent results. An experienced leader, he has run large corporations, as well as conceiving, funding and building successful start-up companies. He previously served as Founder, President and CEO of McAfee.com (NASDAQ: MCAF). He built the company into one of the largest and most successful paid subscription-based security services for consumers and small-to-medium sized businesses. Sampath orchestrated a successful IPO in December 1999 as well as the successful merger of McAfee.com with Network Associates (NYSE: NET), which has now become McAfee Inc. (NYSE: MFE), in October 2002. Prior to McAfee, Sampath was the Vice President of Product Marketing at Netscape Communications, a leading Internet software and services provider, and was Founder, President and CEO of Discussions Corporations, a leading developer of email-based groupware solutions. He also served in executive-level capacities for Central Point Software and the LAN Enhancement Operations and Microcomputer Communications Divisions of Intel Corporation. He currently serves on the Board of Determina and as Chairman of the Board of Voltage Security. Sampath holds a number of patents in areas of information security, the delivery of software-as-a-service, and contextual Internet advertising. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Madras University, India. He has delivered keynote addresses at world-leading financial forums and industry events such as COMDEX and Networld+Interop, and has appeared as a regular guest on major television networks such as CNN, CNBC, CNNfn and Bloomberg.
