NeuroFlow acquired measurement-based care technology service Owl in June

In June, NeuroFlow, a digital health platform provider for enabling behavioral health access and engagement, acquired measurement-based care technology service Owl, adding clinical assessments to its library, as well as analytics capabilities, allowing the company to measure the efficacy of it partners’ programs.

Now those capabilities will be extended to mental telehealth provider Open Mind Health, which announced a partnership with NeuroFlow on Thursday to strengthen its delivery of measurement-based care.

Founded in 2017 by West Point graduate Christopher Molaro after he served in the army for five years and then found that his fellow veterans, as well as civilians, lacked access to much needed mental health services, NeuroFlow helps increase access and get patients the care they need by allowing providers to blend behavioral health into their overall care and remotely monitor patients.

This is done by combining provider workflow augmentation solutions, clinical care dashboards, and a patient-facing application, with the end result being the ability to monitor patient progress, compliance and outcomes on an on-going basis. End user generated data, including validated assessment scores, mood and sleep ratings, journal responses and more are fed into NeuroFlow’s clinical-facing web platform to remotely monitor user progress, risk stratify populations, and enhance care coordination efforts.

The solution is meant to alleviate pressure on providers caused by the growing number of behavioral health patients that are outstripping the supply of behavioral health resources.

In the last two years, NeuroFlow launched in healthcare organizations like Novant Health, Atlantic Health System, Emory, Centene, and Aflac, while deepening its commitment to suicide prevention, improving it NLP technology for identification of suicidal ideation and expanding its Response Services team, which contacts individuals with potential suicidal ideation and connects them to the appropriate care.

The company also purchased Capital Solution Design, a measurement-based care solution for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, in 2023.

Open Mind Health, meanwhile, provides holistic mental health and wellness services, offering therapeutic programs designed to support individuals, couples, and families.

The company has designed 21 Wellness Tracks, which use an evidence-guided approach to address core symptoms, core life domains, and diverse populations. The company treats symptoms such as addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and ADHD, combining traditional treatment with alternative and complementary methods such as music and art therapy, and breathing exercises.

This new collaboration with NeuroFlow is meant to allow Open Mind Health to expand its care offerings, providing a data-driven approach to mental health care by combining Open Mind Health's expertise in holistic mental health services with NeuroFlow's technological capabilities.

"We are excited to partner with NeuroFlow, a company that shares our commitment to improving holistic mental health and driving high-quality outcomes through innovation and technology," Dr. Craig Beach, founder and CEO of Open Mind Health, said in a statement.

"By integrating NeuroFlow's platform into our services, we are continuing our mission to provide cutting-edge, customized, whole-person care. The partnership will allow us to better support our clients on their journey to mental wellness, ensuring they receive the right care at the right time."
