Read more...Vida Health is a virtual care provider that connects patients with a marketplace of national providers who cover a number different conditions, including hypertension, obesity, diabetes, anxiety and depression.
The platform also has over 30 health trackers and integrates with over 100 apps and devices, including scales, heart rate monitors, blood pressure cuffs, activity trackers and glucometers, which it can ship directly to employees or members and now it has expanded that through a new hardware partnership with Withings Health Solutions, the professional health division of connected health device company Withings.
Through this collaboration, eligible Vida members will receive either a Withings Body Pro cellular scale, a BPM Connect Pro cellular blood pressure monitor, or both, giving Vida’s care teams access to patient-generated health data that will enhance their personalized-care approach.
Founded in 2014, Vida Health provides a collaborative care model that includes access to practitioners like coaches, licensed therapists, registered dietitians, diabetes educators and personal trainers to help members with chronic disease management.
Vida’s virtual cardiometabolic solutions serve members in all 50 states in both English and Spanish. Its clients include employers such as Boeing, Visa, General Motors, Cisco, and Bass Pro Shops, along with health plans that include Humana and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
The company also provides care in the mental health space, offering evidence-based programs, such as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness based stress reduction for problems such as stress, anxiety, depression and resilience. It also provides 24/7 access to therapists through text, audio and video.
The solution has shown a 1.97 point A1C reduction in those treated for both diabetes and depression over four months, a 15% reduction in in-patient admissions over six months, a 61% PHQ-8 reduction for patients with depression over six months, a 55% reduction in GAD-7 reduction for patient with anxiety over six months, and a 40% reduction in PSS-10 reduction
for patients experiencing stress over three months.
Withings Health Solutions is a dedicated division of Withings designed to meet the needs of medical professionals, institutions, disease management programs, coaching platforms, remote patient monitoring programs, and researchers, allowing Withings health devices to be integrated into third-party ecosystems.

This is not the first time Withings has entered into a partnership to cover metabolic diseases: in April it teamed up with the American Diabetes Association on its Project Power initiative, a no-cost lifestyle change program that tackles prediabetes and type 2 diabetes to help reduce its consequences. As part of that partnership, Withings provided its Body Comp scale to Project Power participants.
