Bambi Francisco Roizen speaks with Jayaram Bhat, CEO and President of Monetize360
Bambi Francisco Roizen speaks with Jayaram Bhat, CEO and President of Monetize360, a platform providing usage-based pricing that's seeing increased demand, especially during an economic downturn.
Highlights from the interview:
– AWS, Twilio, and Snowflake led the way to usage-based pricing circa 2010. Monetize360 is bringing the same functionality as many companies move from SaaS-based pricing to more complex pricing.
– Usage-base pricing can be good for medical device companies that want to get their product in the door. For buyers, they don't have to pay full price, but pay only when it's in use. This complex pricing strategy is often done manually but Monetize360 can support this billing process and with its no-code process, it can get companies up and running inside a month.
-- During an economic downturn, CFOs seek to save money and generate more revenue (avoid revenue leakage) through creative pricing packages, like usage-based pricing.
-- Monetize360 has a forecasting tool that it claims to be 95-97% accurate. This is useful since usage-based pricing may not be as predictable as subscription pricing. Companies can also combine the two to have a much more predictable revenue flow.
