If you're a startup seeking opportunities to get funded, educated or connected, startup competitions are a great resource.

Description: "Lesbians Who Tech + Allies is a global community of over 50,000 LGBTQ women (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer) and gender nonconforming people in tech. Lesbians Who Tech promotes the visibility, leadership, and education of our community."

Description: "Each year the ROMBA Conference hosts a variety of competitions for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender & queer (LGBTQ) MBA & Graduate community to showcase its business acumen and compete for cash awards. As an added bonus many schools subsidize student's registration or travel if they compete in a competition!"

  • 1st Place Award: $5,000
  • 2nd Place Award: $2,500
  • 3rd Place Award: $1,000

Description: "NGLCC is pleased to announce the eighth installment of the LGBT Biz Pitch entrepreneurial competition plenary — our own version of the ABC hit show Shark Tank — at the 2019 International Business & Leadership Conference in Tampa Bay, FL. Prize: The winner of LGBT Biz Pitch will receive $50,000 in cash and prizes, including a cash prize of $25,000 along with an additional $25,000 business consulting package.

To spread this message at SXSW and beyond, Capital Factory is hosting a Pitch Competition for Underrepresented Founders* in collaboration with the AWS Startup Team and AWS We Power Tech. We will select 6 startups to pitch for 3 minutes each in front of a panel of VCs and early stage investors.

Prize: The winner will be featured on the AWS Startup Blog, receive 3 months of free coworking from Capital Factory, and receive various additional prizes that will help enable their company to grow.
