If you are an entrepreneur, why?
I want to change the world.
Why did you start your current company?
It was the biggest challenge I could see in front of me and I knew I had to try to get the idea out into the world. I'm personally driven to improve the way we do mental wellness in our society and that's the purpose of Core as well.
What's most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?
It's incredibly rewarding to build something from scratch, and to piece together all the various people and milestones and tasks that need to come together to get it out into the world. It's incredible how many people have a hand in helping you get to your vision, it's always important to remember that. Nothing comes from just one mind alone.
What's the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs make?
Trying to do it all yourself. Find your weaknesses and find people who excel at your weaknesses so you can all spend more time bringing your top strengths to the table.
What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?
1. It's all about the people.
2. If ever you needed a reason other than your own well-being to take care of yourself, now you have it -- your company needs you at your best, so you're not helping anyone by running yourself into the ground.
3. Ruthless prioritization skills are very essential.
