Both sides discuss how to work together to move forward with value-based care

On March 15, Vator and HP will host its second SplashX Invent Health event, and its first for the 2018 series. See details of the "Future of Clinics" event here

Last fall, Vator and HP hosted its first ever SplashX: Invent Health event,  where the focus was on value-based care: the road to accountable healthcare economics. Value-based care is when caregivers are paid on the basis of quality vs per service. But how is quality measured? How can caregivers deliver quality without patients also doing their part? There's a lot of challenges to this model, but a lot of upside for everyone.

Our second panel consisted of tech pioneers and healthcare organizations. It was moderated by Bambi Francisco (Vator) and Archana Dubey (Hewlett-Packard) included  Stefano Bini, MD (Professor of Clinical Orthopedics, UCSF), Rick Altinger (CEO, Glooko), Todd Johnson (CEO & Co-founder, HealthLoop), Amar Kendale (SVP of Product Management, Livongo), Katie Simpson, MHA (Strategic Partnerships Manager, Design & Innovation, Sutter Health), Jim Winkler (Global Chief Innovation Officer, Aon Hewitt)

HealthLoop believes that patients are the most underleveraged resource in the achievement of better outcomes. Imagine the impact if health systems and hospitals had the time to call every patient every day to let them know what to expect, know, and do. Care teams would have real-time visibility into risk status and patients would have a superior outcome and experience. With HealthLoop, care teams are no longer forced to make difficult trade-offs about which patient populations to support outside of the care setting. HealthLoop’s solution enables care teams to engage all patients before and after admission through automated daily check-ins.

By sending the right information at the right time, HealthLoopidentifies those patients that need help in real-time, allowing care teams to proactively intervene before costs andcomplications escalate. HealthLoop scales the impact of care teams through the power of patients.HealthLoop’s solution enables care teams to engage all patients before and after admission through automated daily check-ins.
