Here are some of the startup competitions that have the largest cash prize in blockchain:

 

• Blockchain Startup Contest

Description: "We think that a contest will allow us to promote the revolutionary technology of blockchains and smart contracts in a much broader and faster way. By showing great ideas and already developing solutions we aim to improve the awareness of the general public, academics and students, politicians and entrepreneurs. Europe has to gain ground in the digital development and blockchain technology is likely to play a key role in this.

Prize: Main prize winners are awarded 5,000 EUR in Bitcoin or Ether; Runner-up prize winners are awarded 1,670 EUR in Bitcoin or Ether.

• Blockchain Competition

Description: "Zug and Crypto Valley are world-famous for their crypto/blockchain scene.
And Switzerland is one of the world’s most important insurance markets.

Past CoinAgenda contests have featured companies from more than two dozen nations and the winners have gone on to raise millions of dollars in follow-on funding, as well as 10 successful ICOs."

Prize: First place winners each receive $7,500 in combined sponsorship awards from CoinAgenda, and tickets to d10e, BECON, and ICO Summit.  Second and third place winners receive $4400 each for a combined total event awards purse of more than $30k.
