Brings 35 years of sales experience to the team that will help accelerate business expansion

You can have the best product the world has ever seen, but if you're unable to sell it you'll never get anywhere. While Egnyte has had no real issues selling their cloud-based collaboration and governance tools for enterprise solutions, it never is a bad idea to bolster your team with the best sales people and the leaders that can help advise those teams.

That's where Tom Schodorf comes in. His 35 years of sales experience has taken him from IBM to BMC Software and more recently as SVP of Sales and Field operations at Splunk. He now brings that expertise to Egnyte's corporate advisory board.

“I have watched Egnyte progress over the years from an enterprise file sync and share vendor to a leading platform that provides collaboration and governance solutions to some of the most recognized businesses in the world,” said Tom Schodorf. “I am honored to join Egnyte and this outstanding group of advisors during such an exciting time in the history of the company. I look forward to helping accelerate the growth of their sales organization and making a positive impact any way that I can.”

With the recent launch of their service, Egnyte Protect, a cloud-based governance solution that is now in the general public roll-out phase, the company will be looking to expand sales teams and knowledge, and Schodorf can help bring that knowledge to the table.

“As we continue to invest in the growth and expansion of Egnyte we are putting a heavy focus on building out our sales organization,” said Vineet Jain, CEO and co-founder at Egnyte. “Tom brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our advisory board that will help us successfully grow our sales organization and execute at the highest level.”
