DOCSF Innovation Awards

Win $5000 and be crowned the Zimmer Biomet Innovation Award winner.

Description: DOCSF is seeking 8 innovative technology companies in the health care space.
Each company will present case studies of their products or platforms at the 2018 Digital Orthopedics Conference to 200 curated health care leaders. The Digital Orthopedics Conference is in San Francisco, CA on January 7th, 2018, just before the annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference.

Benefits: One selected company will receive the Zimmer Biomet Innovation Award of $5000.00. In addition to presenting at the conference, all finalists will meet for 20 minutes with a multinational industry sponsor (Stryker, Depuy/J&J, Medtronic and Zimmer/Biomet), receive a certificate, and be featured on the DOCSF website and social media feeds.

Survive and Thrive Bootcamp 2017

2017 Robot Launch

The Robotics Hub, in collaboration with Silicon Valley Robotics has opened up applications for its Robot Launch challenge. They're looking to invest up to $500,000 in robotics, AI and sensor startup.

Description: In previous Robot Launch competitions we’ve had hundreds of entries from more than 20 countries around the world. Our finalists have also reached the finals of major startup competitions like Tech Crunch Disrupt, and gone on to raise millions of dollars of funding making strong industry partnerships, such as working with Siemens Frontier Program.

Benefits: Robot Launch is supported by Silicon Valley Robotics to help more robotics startups present their technology and business models to prominent investors. Silicon Valley Robotics ( is the not-for-profit industry group supporting innovation and commercialization in robotics technologies. The Robotics Hub ( is the first investor in advanced robotics and AI startups, helping to get from 'zero to one' with their network of robotics and market experts.

Samsung NEXT Start

Samsung is seeking to invest between $100k and $1 million and be the first institutional funding in.

Description: Samsung seeks to empower founders and early-stage software startups with funding, deep domain expertise, co-located work spaces, and unparalleled resources to build products, launch startups and grow companies ready for scale. They're looking for pre-seed and seed-stage startups. Products that gain traction have potential to receive additional rounds of funding and ultimately spin-out or be acquired by Samsung.

The Lab Accelerator at Northwestern University SF

Selected startups will receive guided access to Northwestern’s network.

Description: The Lab Accelerator: Call for Startups The Lab Accelerator at Northwestern University’s San Francisco campus is accepting applications for its founding startup cohort starting Autumn 2017. It will take place in San Francisco, CA from September-December 2017. Please submit applications by September 1st. Invitations will be extended by September 12.

Benefits: Selected startups will be encouraged to work from Northwestern’s SF campus until December 31, 2017. Under the supervision of experienced advisors, IMC graduate students will work with selected startups to solve a specific marketing challenge related to product/market fit, go-to-market strategy, or growth. Selected startups will receive guided access to Northwestern’s network. They will provided resources including office hours with technical, financial, and legal startup advisors; a weekly dinner and speaker series to introduce you to other founders, panel members, and alumni; and a Demo Day.

Ericsson Garage Startup Challenge

Winner will be offered a fast track to final investment meeting and decision up to €50k with Cap A or Butterfly.

Description: Ericsson Garage has joined forces with Capital A Partners (CAP A), and their Nordic partner seed fund, Butterfly Ventures - and kicking off our collaboration with a bang! This September, nine startups will be selected to pitch their ideas in front of a live Dragon’s Den at the Ericsson Studio and in collaboration with the STHLM TechFest. This is a rare chance to win technology incubation with the global network of Ericsson Garages, unlimited access to a smart city testbed and an express pass to a final decision investment meeting. 

Benefits: Selected startups will win mentoring and investment considerartion with Cap A or Butterfly. Incubation for 8 months, with Ericsson Garage Sweden and unlimited access to the Urban ICT Arena for one year.

Women's Startup Lab

Receive funding and a 12-month startup program.

Description: Women’s Startup Lab is a founder accelerator program. WSLab’s collaboratory of women entrepreneurs empowers founders to be strong leaders, create impactful startups and to influence and shape the world though their startups, innovation and community collaboration. WSLab focuses on female founders and their teams

Benefits: A $1 million fund is available from their venture partners who have specifically committed to invest in women led startups over the next twelve months.

F-LANE Vodafone Institute Accelerator for Female Empowerment

Description: FLANE is a six-week acceleration program for high-potential digital impact ventures focusing on female empowerment.
