The licensed urologist who has been practicing at the Urology Group of Western New England in Springfield, Massachusetts for nearly twenty years is Dr. Donald Sonn. After receiving his basic medical training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University in New York, Dr. Donald Sonn completed his two residency programs, one in the Department of Surgery and the other in the Department of Urology, at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York.

While at the Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, Massachusetts, Dr. Donald Sonn served as the Chief of Surgery for four years from 2007 to 2013. Before then, Sonn served on the hospital’s Cancer Committee. Cooley Dickenson Hospital’s Cancer Care Program provided cancer patients with care and the latest treatment available for the advancement in technology in a setting that is both comfortable for the patient and as effective as possible.
