Tremor Media, RideCharge, and Offerpal are among startups that raised funds

So far, February has been a pretty active month for fundraising. Here are some startups that raised funds across consumer Internet, digital media, advertising, and mobile sectors.

SynthaSite raised $20 million from Reinet Investments, according to PE Hub. The San Francisco-based company is a developer of a Web 2.0 publishing platform. SynthaSite is a free website builder that helps small businesses create their own functional site.


Tremor Media raised $18 million from Meritech Capital Partners, Canaan Partners, Masthead Venture Partners, and European Founders Fund according to VatorNews.The New York-based startup is the leading online video advertising network providing advertisers with both in-banner and in-stream video advertising opportunities.Tremor Media has the fourth largest video ad network, behind YouTube, MySpace, according to VatorNews.

Offerpal Media raised $15 million from D. E. Shaw Ventures and backed by existing investors InterWest Partners and North Bridge Venture Partners, according to VatorNews.
The Silicon Valley-based startup has a platform to enable Facebook, Bebo, and MySpace users to monetize their social applications and generate new leads and increase conversions, and advertisers to reach their target consumers. OpSource raised $10 million from Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, according to a press release.The Santa Clara-based Software as a Service company offers a completed Web operations and service solution for Saas and Web businesses.


Social Solutions raised $6.5 million from Frontier Capital, WWC Capital Group and IDEA Fund Partners, according to a press release. The Baltimore-Maryland based company is is a private equity firm providing growth equity to technology enabled business services companies.


OVGuide raised $5 million from Baroda Ventures, according to VatorNews. The LA-based search engine is the Internet's most comprehensive and up-to-date guide to online video, including TV shows, movies, user-generated content and video games. The search engine delivers an innovative, way to search and browse relevant, high-quality video sites on the Web.


RideCharge raised $4.6 million from Concur, according to PE Hub.The Redwood, WA-based startup is known as a corportate expense management firm with a slogan that describes itself as "cars on my mobile." RideChargeallows business travelers arrange ground transportation from their mobile devices.


Vontoo raised $2 million from EDF Ventures, according to a press release. The Indianapolis-based startup enables organizations to create, send, and track voice messages to meet the recipient's needs and interesets.You can access Vontoo via the Web anytime and you have the freedom to instantly send from one to millions of automated calls to help clients reduce costs and enhance customer relationships. raised $9 million from AGF Private Equity, Balderton Capital, and Partech International, according to PE Hub.The Asia-based tavel company is a site where travelers can check out possible hotels through video.


Portero Inc. raised $6.6 million from LFE Capital and Grosvenor Funds, according to PE Hub. The New York-based startup is an online market platform for authentic goods such as jewelry, watches, and accessories. raised $4 million from Helion Ventures, according to PE Hub. The Delhi, India-based starup is a site that offers classifieds business and directories. It is known as the leading information service provider in India.
