KickApps raised $14 million in new funds

White-label social network raises a total of $31 million

KickApps, a popular of white-label social networking solutions, raised more than $13 million in a Series C round of funding. The round was led by North Atlantic Capital, with participation from existing investors Softbank, Spark Capital, Prism Ventures and Jarl Mohn, former CEO of Liberty Digital, Inc.

KickApps raised a total of $31 million since 2006. In the spring of this year, many companies, including AOL, had been reported to be interested in buying KickApps for as much as $90 million.
