Vibes Media, WildBlue, Raptr are among companies raising funds this week

Here's a roundup of companies in the mobile, video, digital media, social network, and advertising sectors that announced their funding this past week.

Vibes Media secured a $15 million Series A round from Fidelity Ventures, according to PE Hub. Vibes Media, which is based in Chicago, is a technology-enabled mobile marketing company, that has launched 50,000 mobile marketing campaigns since the company launched 10 years ago.

New York-based Stylesight, an online fashion information provider, raised $16 million in Series A funding from Fidelity Ventures, according to a press release.

Accel Partners and Founders Fund invested $12 million in Raptr, a social platform for video game players.  The Mountain View, California- based startup also just launched its public beta of its social network for video game players, according to its blog. Raptr allows people to discover and play games across multiple platforms, such as XBox Live and a Mac, and share with friends on Facebook, Twitter and FriendFeed

Fonality announced its $12 million in funding from the Draper Fisher Jurveston Growth Fund and existing investor Intel Capital. LA-based Fonality provides phone systems and contact center solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, according to a release on PE Hub.

ChannelAdvisor secured $20 million in a funding led by New Enterprise Associates of Baltimore. Prior investors Advanced Technology Ventures of Palo Alto, Calif., Kodiak Venture Partners of Waltham, Mass., eBay Inc. of San Jose, Calif., and Southern Capital Ventures of Raleigh, N.C., also contributed. ChannelAdvisor helps companies and individuals use online marketplaces, according to a release on PE Hub.

Israeli startup ASOCS, a provider of wireless processors for handheld devices, has raised $8 million in a second round of funding, led by  FinTech GIMV Fund (FGF) and included existing investors: Vertex Venture Capital and Harel Hertz, according to a release.

DigiMeld Inc. raised a $2 million round of angel funding for its live internet broadcasting service. The New York-based company is a provider of software solutions for streaming and live internet broadcasting. See release.

 WildBlue Communications raised $50 million. The Denver-based broadband provider of rural satellite services in the United States receiving funding from Liberty Media, Intelsat, the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative and Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield, and Byers, according to a release.

WildBlue estimates that there are more than 11 million households in the US where DSL and cable services are unavailable. Of those households, seven million are still accessing the Web via dial-up connection.
