Flavourworks raised $3.8M; Chaser landed $4M; Varentec closed $5M; Hundred picks up $8M

Flavourworks: Flavourworks’ interactive movie games fuse together live-action video with interactive gameplay. Flavourworks has raised $3.8 million in Series A funding led by Hiro Capital, with participation from Sky Ventures. Read more

Chaser: Chaser is a cloud credit control startup. Chaser has raised $4 million in funding led by Fuel Ventures, with participation from Sussex Place Ventures and Beacon Capital. Read more

Chip: Chip is a fintech platform that creates automatic savings accounts. Chip has raised £7.3 million, with £3.8 million crowdfunded by customers and the remainder provided by unnamed angel investors. Read more

Varentec: Varentec is a maker of compact power electronics and total systems for the electric grid and industrial applications. Varentec has raised $5 million in funding led by WindSail Capital Group. The company had earlier raised funding from Bill Gates and Khosla Ventures. Read more

Hundred: Hundred is a personalized vitamin brand. Hundred has raised $8 million led by Insight Partners.  Read more

GuRu Wireless: GuRu Wireless is a millimeter-wave technology startup. GuRu Wireless has raised $15 million in Series A funding from Kairos Ventures and Bold Capital Partners. Read more

pureLifi: pureLifi uses light to power wireless communications rather than radio frequencies. pureLifi has raised $18 million in Series B funding. Investors include Temasek and the Scottish Investment Bank. Read more 

WealthNavi: WealthNavi is a wealth robo-advisor. WealthNavi has raised $37.6 million in Series D funding led by earlier backers Sony Financial Ventures and Global Brain. Other participants in the round include Opt Ventures, SMBC Venture Capital, DBJ Capital, and Resona Capital, among others. Read more
