- Connected health data network b.well Connected Health announced partnerships with weight-loss company Noom, cardiometabolic-focused healthcare technology company Welldoc and health insurance company Humana, as a part of each company’s commitment to the CMS Health Technology Ecosystem. Humana will allow individuals to connect and access their health data across providers, health plans, pharmacies and digital health applications; Welldoc, which offers an AI-enabled app for cardiometabolic health, will be able to access patient-authorized health data and users will be able to access their health information through b.well’s national health data network; and Noom and b.well will jointly launch Noom Health Record Connect, which will enable Medicare beneficiaries to connect their medical records to the Noom app

- Governor Jeff Landry signed an executive order to create a new office that focuses on improving rural healthcare in Louisiana, establishing the Office of Rural Health Transformation and Sustainability within the Louisiana Department of Health. The new office will help put the initiatives of Louisiana’s Rural Health Transformation Program into place. Officials said the goal of everything is to work toward better maternal and infant health outcomes, a lower burden for chronic disease, more access to behavioral health services, and earlier detection and treatment for serious conditions like cancer
- The U.S. Departments of Education and Labor issued the Fiscal Year 2026 competitions for the Teacher and School Leader Incentive Program and the Innovative Approaches to Literacy Program. These competitions represent the next step in the Trump Administration’s efforts to align workforce and education programs, expand education freedom, and bolster educator effectiveness.
