Company description

IntroductionThe Printed Blog is a new print newspaper comprised entirely of blogs and other user-generated, online content. In just six short weeks, we have been widely credited with launching a global discussion on the future of print journalism. Given trends in the way people are interacting with news sources today, and preferences in how information is delivered and digested, it is clear that The Printed Blog’s innovative and timely model for print interaction makes it the newspaper for the next 100 years.

The Printed BlogThe newspaper industry is in a freefall. Circulation and readership figures continue to decline. This is due to the industry’s refusal to embrace the power of the internet.

The Printed blog is in many regards the antithesis of a traditional newspaper. It is not theoretical. It has already published and distributed a half dozen issues in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. The first TPB issue was circulated on January 27th, 2009, and in little more than a month, the concept has captured worldwide attention and sparked cross-cultural interest.

A New Business ModelOur business model is built on four pillars: 1) User-generated content, 2) Community-based self-selectivity, 3) Not "one-size-fits-all," and 4) Easily scalable worldwide.
