Company description

Ever wonder what stories buildings would tell “If these walls could talk”?

The founders of inQuicity have one simple goal: making location personally relevant, deeply informative and highly entertaining.

While it may sound impossible, we believe that collecting information about past and current events, tagging it to location and delivering that information to anyone with a smartphone who wants to know what happened where they are standing is a vital part of learning and interacting with the world around us.

Call us crazy but we believe that location information is about more than where to spend your money.

Everyone knows you can launch an app and find out where to eat, stalk your friends from bar to bar, or shop for your favorite shoes . . . but what about the rest of the picture?

At inQuicity, we’re collectors of memorabilia, curators of TV and movie character “Halls of fame” and are quick to relate everything in life to a lyric from our favorite song. Artists, business people, academics and passionate consumers of data in all forms, we’re truly passionate about all things relating to history, art, pop culture and location and want to create and share experiences with people just like us.

Imagine walking the streets of Greenwich Village and seeing them through the eyes of Bob Dylan in the 1960’s. Imagine hearing the stories behind the song “Blowin in the wind” while standing in front of the building where it was written and making an in-app, one touch purchase of a special edition live version of the song. Or take the “Dylan’s Village” tour while playing an urban game of trivia with your friends.

We’re on a quest to collect as much knowledge as we can about historical and current events, entertainment and pop culture, connect it all to the location where it happened and create the best  interactive mobile content in-your-hands experience.
