Company description

TaskUs is changing the way the world works. Work is virtual, and the world's best companies are all leveraging the global talent pool to scale and operate their businesses. While many companies like O-Desk and Amazon's Mechanical Turk help companies outsource work, their approach is scientific and metric driven. TaskUs puts its people first, creating sustainable and coveted jobs that produce lasting results and metrics.

What we do

TaskUs builds remote work teams and manages large scale outsourcing projects for high growth Internet companies. Combining personalized customer service, experienced staff, and a commitment to excellence, TaskUs has grown to 290 + employees across its offices in Santa Monica, Las Vegas and the Philippines. TaskUs has over 30 clients, including multiple billion dollar companies.

Why we're different

By working exclusively with Internet companies, TaskUs gains a unique market perspective and deep knowledge that leads to client success. No other Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company caters exclusively to the venture backed internet company, making our specialization our competitive edge.

Who We Are

TaskUs was founded in 2009 by Bryce Maddock and Jaspar Weir. The two high school friends started their first business together when they were 19. The first iteration of TaskUs was as a virtual personal assistant business, where busy professionals could outsource tasks an hour at a time. While that model didn't scale, TaskUs learned how to effectively delegate work, and started to build out a team in the Philippines. Taskus started working with large Internet companies in 2010 and has grown rapidly ever since. The founders have recently brought in key employees with backgrounds in running call centers, consulting, and law to help the company scale.

The BPO industry in the Philippines is $11 billion per year and growing. The market is vast, and there is room for huge innovation in the industry. TaskUs has more than doubled its revenues from year to year and plans to continue this pace. TaskUs is cash flow positive and has raised no outside capital. The company plans on opening its second location early this year, and would consider taking on venture capital to accelerate expansion.
