Semaphore has a world-class enterprise ontology management system (module 1)  that competes and wins business against other leading taxonomy/ontology vendors in its own right.

Semaphore has a highly scaleable rule-based classification engine (module 2) that gets its instructions from rules generated automatically from the ontologies managed in Semaphore. This means that classification is authoritative, consistent, transparent and of a higher quality compared to using probablistic/statistical methods - without the need for document training sets. The classification is very a) flexible b)sophisticated c)easy to use.

Semaphore has text mining technology (module 3) that uses advanced liquistic techniques to speed up the building of ontologies such that the effort to build an ontology suitable for classification is less than the effort to employ less accurate statistical classification.

Semaphore  has a high speed search and navigation enhancement module (module 4) that powers the ontology-driven contextual navigation of portals. This is optimised for very high speed so that it can power websites of millions of users. When used in conjunction with enterprise search, Semaphore offers a Search Application Framework (module 5) that means that the end user search application is configured in hours rather than the days or months that  a typical enterprise search implementation will take.
