Company description

Litesprite, is a platform that uses games to engage patients. By combing our gaming data with machine learning clinicians can conveniently and cost-effectively monitor patients and improve health outcomes for a variety of chronic health conditions. The initial game, Sinasprite uses evidence-based treatment methods, including CBT-based and mindfulness strategies, to help people manage stress, anxiety, and depression.

We are the first video game to receive a US Surgeon General System for Health award and the only one being recommended/prescribed in medical clinics today, including the U.S. Army.

Our active deployments are showing strong results, including with difficult-to-reach populations such as Medicaid patients, - improvements in anxiety (GAD-7), depression (PHQ-9), coping skills (CSE), and cost reductions.

We have validated CPT code reimbursement for the following 4 care-delivery settings: primary care, outpatient, partial hospital, and inpatient. Our sales pipeline includes insurance firms, clinics, educational institutions, and employers.

We've received financial and in-kind awards by the U.S. Army, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, SXSW, Livestrong Foundation, and Singularity University. You may have seen us featured on The Tennessean, Seattle Times , 425 Business, Kym McNicholas On Innovation, NPR KUOW Morning edition, NBC King 5's Tech Talk, or Huffington Post.

Business model

We charge an industry standard per member per month licensing (PMPM) fee and intend to be prescribed.

We have validated CPT code reimbursement for the following 4 care-delivery settings: primary care, outpatient, partial hospital, and inpatient. Our sales pipeline includes insurance firms, clinics, educational institutions, and employers.

Competitive advantage

We are the 1st video game to receive a US Surgeon General award and the only one being recommended/prescribed in medical clinics today. We have clinically relevant results that show statistically significant symptom improvements for all patients no matter what treatment they were in and with minimal involvement from a care team. Those with severe symptoms improved more. Key quantitative and qualitative performance metrics are at or above par of commercial comparables.  When combined with therapy we have the same improvements as more costly pharmaceuticals, but in a shorter time period and no side-effects. We are also patent pending and strong demand from payers and providers for this solution - including cold call from payers. So we have product defensibility and early customer adoption.

This early penetration translates into high switching costs as providers and payers would not have access to their patient data or the predictive models that have been developed that are unique to their patient population.

Our key distinctions are as follows: 1) We validated CPT code reimbursement for the following 4 care-delivery settings: primary care, outpatient, partial hospital, and inpatient. 2) We have clinical validation and proven engagement with even difficult-to-reach populations including Medicaid patients. 3) We concurrently present & teach players a combination of evidence-based treatment methods and mindfulness strategies. 4) We collect important data that currently isn’t available. 5) We generate outcomes-based results. 6) We deliver predictive recommendations and customized strategies. 7) We allow clinicians to track players and communicate with them through games. 8) We incorporate a player’s support network. 9) We integrate biosensor information. 10) We can build predictive models unique to our customer’s patient population.
