Company description

From buildings and bridges to MRI machines, It’s easy to forget how much we trust our world to “just work.” But the truth is 50 year old sourcing processes are resulting in dangerous, expensive, and sometimes fatal mistakes.

The problem is poor communication. But our current system doesn’t allow for sourcers, end users, and manufacturers to have the transparency and level of communication they need to drive innovation, and ultimately safety and success, in their industries.

The breakdown happens during the purchasing process:

  • Vendors (manufacturers, distributors, and service providers) need better access to their global audience and a direct line of communication to their end users.

  • Purchasers need reliable, relevant information from trusted sources.

  • Practicing Professionals need a practical way to share their knowledge critical in driving future innovation and avoiding critical errors.

Our mission at KeyIn is to make it easy for information to flow globally between everyone involved in big ticket purchases; especially that trusted opinion.

Today, we provide a platform that is collecting purchasing and industry data never seen before by industry analysts and our mission is to make it available to as many people as possible.

Business model

Initial revenue is derived from Vendor Subscriptions ($3K - $6K per company annually) which provides lead generation, better branding opportunities, social media links, more product information, the ability to use approved reviews as marketing collateral, and soon, responses to user reviews. Future revenue potential opportunities include: user reports (used for RFI's or side-by-side product comparisons), industry reporting (market research reports), product referral fees (commission), and industry "best in class" badging and awards for external advertising.

Competitive advantage

From buildings and bridges to MRI machines, it’s easy to forget how much we trust our world to “just work." In our daily lives, we rely on reviews to help us buy the products that are right for us.

In addition, Demand Gen Report reminds us that “97% of B2B Customers say that user-generated content such as peer reviews is more credible than other types of content”* when making purchasing decisions.

Even so, you can find out more about the $40 computer mouse you are using through amazon reviews, than a professional can find out about a $90K trauma patient simulator used to train Army medics, a $10M flight simulator used to train your pilots, or a $270M MRI machine used to diagnose a brain tumor.

That’s why we created KeyIn, B2B peer review platform for big-ticket purchases.

With a direct website API partnership with the world’s largest medical simulation organization and paying vendor subscriptions from 15 leading vendors, KeyIn is now collecting purchasing data never seen before by industry analysts. Our company is already expanding into other verticals like aviation training and is ready to change the world of b2b purchasing.
