Company description

In 1983, 50 companies owned 90% of American Media.  By 2011, just six (6) companies owned 90% of American media.  Hearing the same song played over and over on the Radio is but a symptom of a much bigger problem.

We're democratizing access to global broadcast Radio to bust-up the information monopoly and make the planet a more connected, entertained and informed place.  We are creating a large-scale, synchronous, social platform for global Radio that lets you find any content, as its playing, on over 20,000 live streams; Hitch-a-Ride on the broadcast; and change the dial for your friends in real-time.

As a Radio solution with music, news, sports, talk and DJs; Hitch Radio has created a dynamic social layer that points to the content where it's being performed by Radio stations and is therefore not incumbered by debilitating royalty costs (Pandora, Spotify, iHeartRadio).  In addition, Hitch Radio will share advertising revenue with partner stations in exchange for on-air promotion of their participation with our Radio-group-agnostic service.

In addition to securing the content, we've successfully recruited a new two-time Grammy winning artist, appropriated more than 75M monthly impressions (poised for activation) and partnered with Google (Admeld/AdExchange which typically requires more than 30M monthly impressions).
