Summary: More than a software application, Family Proud is a community of people united to support loved ones in need of critical healthcare necessities. No matter how great of a challenge someone may be facing, building a support network is vital for successful treatment, healing and recovery.


Family Proud has developed an intuitive software application that connects patients and families to each other and to the resources critical for their care. Members have the ability to share their journey with loved ones every step of the way while being supported by crucial resources. Our peer to peer support network, interactive managed care calendar, and a care registry allow patients to receive support from their network worldwide. Our platform provides product and service recommendations based on hardship, following a wedding registry model specific for patients and their families.

Road Map

Our strategy includes focusing on our two approved pilot programs with San Diego healthcare centers prior to expanding within San Diego's market. Our goal is for a patient and family facing soft launch by the end of Q3. Our vision is to impact all areas of patient care and provide an alternative to healthcare that currently does not exist.


Business model

Our primary revenue model is a business to consumer model through our care registry platform. Similar to a wedding registry, we collect a transaction fee from products and services purchased by the families support network or friends and at no cost to themselves. It is not a question that people are looking to help one another as GoFundMe has raised over $5B since 2010 through their monetary model, with one out of three of their sites being dedicated to medical donations. Our secondary model is business to business, with healthcare centers paying a subscription fee based on impacts to resource alignment, patient satisfaction, and quality of care. The subscription pricing is currently based on bed count for the size of the system.

Competitive advantage

Family Proud’s solution is different than our current competitors as it offers an innovative and encompassing approach to patient care needs at no cost to the immediate family themselves. Alternative platforms offer siloed resource capabilities, however they do not offer both the social support through peer to peer and the direct assistance with the care navigation process, to include tangible support through financial assistance, products and services. A major competitive advantage for our solution is also our leadership team. We have all lived through the pains we are working to address and are committed to the mission.
