If you’re like me, you didn’t take advantage of Black Friday, and the earliest you got around to Christmas shopping was last weekend. Now you’re thinking: “It’s too late to get gifts shipped out before Christmas!”
Don’t fret. Amazon is extending its free expedited shopping offer with a two-day shipping policy through December 21 at 8 pm PST, at least for its Kindle family of tablets, including the $79 Kindle, the $199 Kindle Fire, the $149 Kindle Touch 3G and $99 Kindle Touch.
With this offer, there will certainly be a few more days for the Kindle to fly off the virtual shelves.
Already, the Kindle is selling at a rate of one million a week, Amazon said last week. And, some analysts estimate that Amazon will sell about five to six million Kindles by the end of the year, driving Amazon’s market share for tablets at an estimated 14%. Apple’s iPad has about a two-thirds market share of the tablet market.
You can also still take advantage of Amazon’s one-day free shipping offer for other items, which ends on December 17 at 12 midnight.
