Cleveland Clinic: Cleveland Clinic is an Ohio-based medical center that combines clinical and hospital care with research and education. Anthem is teaming up with The Clinic to offer virtual second opinions to members. The Clinic is a digital health joint venture between Cleveland Clinic and Amwell that provides video consultations, digital record collection and concierge service to insurers, providers, employers and patients. Clover Health: Clover is a healthcare technology company helping members live their healthiest lives with our Medicare Advantage plans. Clover started to rise without any news, the move lasted for about three days and resulted in the stock price more than tripling. Mammoth Biosciences raised $150 million in Series D funding. Redmile Group, led the round, joined by a mix of new and previous investors, including Foresite Capital, Senator Investment Group, Sixth Street, Greenspring Associates, Mayfield, Decheng Capital, Plum Alley and NFX. Attralus: Attralus is a South San Francisco-based biotech focused on systemic amyloidosis. Attralus raised $116 million in Series B funding. Logos Capital led the round, joined by Janus Henderson Investors, Redmile Group, Samsara BioCapital, Sarissa Capital Management, Surveyor Capital, Vivo Capital and venBio Partners. Read more
InBrace: InBrace is a L.A.-based company that sells a teeth-straightening technology. InBrace raised $102 million in Series D funding led by Farallon Capital Management and Marshall Wace. Read more
Beauty Pie: Beauty Pie is a London-based beauty and wellness company that sells anti-aging eye serums, face creams and more. Beauty Pie raised $100 million in Series B funding. Index Ventures and Insight Partners led the round. Read more
Spiber: Spiber is a Japan-based developer of plant-based protein polymers. Spiber just raised $91 million from The Carlyle Group, Fidelity and Baillie Gifford. Read more
Emulate: Emulate is a Boston-based biotech company focused on developing “organ-on-a-chip” technology. Emulate raised $82 million in Series E funding led by Northpond Ventures and Perceptive Advisors. Read more
Flo: Flo is a London-based period-tracking app focused on fertility. Flo raised $50 million in Series B funding co-led by Target Global and VNV Global. Read more
Homage: Homage is a Singapore-based platform that matches families with caregivers. Homage raised $30 million in Series C funding led by Sheares Healthcare Group, which is wholly owned by investment firm Temasek. Other participants in the round include DG Daiwa Ventures, Sagana Capital, and earlier backers East Ventures, HealthXCapital, SeedPlus, Trihill Capital and Alternate Ventures. Read more
A-Alpha Bio: A-Alpha Bio is a Seattle-based protein discovery platform that spun out of the University of Washington. A-Alpha Bio raised $20 million in funding led by Madrona Venture Group, with participation from Perceptive Advisors and Lux Capital. Read more
DotCom Therapy: DotCom Therapy is an Arvada, Co.-based pediatric teletherapy company. DotCom Therapy raised $13 million in Series A funding led by New Capital Partners. Read more
Elvie: Elvie is a U.K.-based maker of a connected breast pump and smart pelvic floor exerciser. Elvie raised £12.7 million in extended Series C funding. The capital has come from funds sponsored by the co-founders of Blume Equity — a PE firm that focuses on the food and health sectors — along with earlier backers PGL, Hiro Capital and Westerly Winds.
