Veteran technologist, Jayant Chaudhary, joins SURREAL as COO/CTO

Chaudhary will oversee product development, operations, and strategy for SURREAL

SURREAL, an up-and-coming metaverse platform focused on events, has brought on Jayant Chaudhary as the new Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer.

Previously, Chaudhary worked with American Express, eProxim, TechCXO, and others. With SURREAL, Chaudary will be tasked with wearing a lot of hats, including overseeing product development and innovation, as well as operations and strategy.

According to Josh Rush, Co-Founder and CEO of SURREAL, "Jayant has excelled at translating complex tech solutions to non-tech business audiences—enabling business stakeholders to make better decisions about what tech solutions to adopt."

That expertise will come in handy as SURREAL tries to navigate the still young (and confusing) metaverse space. The company has a focus on digital events, something that other companies have been touching on as well.

Even the game space has started dabbling with virtual events and concerts. Fortnite is best known for this, having held multiple concerts within its growing digital world.

Chaudhary and SURREAL will work with B2B clients and brands to help create digital spaces for engagement. One of its highlighted features seems to be its detailed character creation model, which allows people to create accurate, digital "twins."
