AI.Reverie raised $5.6M; Atlas AI landed $7M; Nelumbo secured $14M; Perspectum picks up $36M
AI.Reverie: AI.Reverie is a simulation platform that's trying to generate synthetic data to train airport simulation, weapons detection, cashier-less shopping and delivery bot algorithms, among other projects. AI.Reverie has raised $5.6 million in funding. Vulcan Capital led the round and was joined by Compound, In-Q-Tel, Resolute Ventures, SGInnovate, TechNexus, and Triphammer Ventures. Read more
Atlas AI: Atlas AI is trying to estimate socioeconomic indicators by combining satellite imagery and other data with the latest advances in artificial intelligence. Atlas AI has raised $7 million in Series A funding. Airbus Ventures led the round, joined by Micron Technology and earlier investor The Rockefeller Foundation. Read more
Credit Kudos: Credit Kudos is a U.K-based fintech for credit scoring platform. Credit Kudos has raised £5 million ($6.25 million) in Series A funding. AlbionVC led the round, joined by TriplePoint, Plug & Play Ventures, Ascension Ventures, and Entrepreneur First. Read more
Nifty Games: Nifty Games develops head-to-head sports games for mobile devices. Nifty Games has raised $12 million in Series A funding. March Capital Partners led the round, joined by Xiomatic Gaming, Defy Partners, Vulcan Capital, Courtside Ventures, Transcend Fund, Century Game, and OneTeam Ventures. Read more
Nelumbo: Nelumbo focuses on advanced-surface modifications and on developing improved heat exchangers for the HVAC market specifically for now. Nelumbo has raised $14 million in funding as part of its Series A. Prime Mover’s Lab and University of Tokyo Edge Capital co-led the round, joined by Safar Partners, Darwin Venture Management, and Neue Fund. Read more
Perspectum: Perspectum is providing software that can take data from MRI scans to detect and monitor multiple diseases. Perspectum has raised a $36 million round of funding co-led by the Blue Venture Fund and HealthQuest Capital. Oxford Science Innovation, Puhua Capital, the University of Oxford and other existing investors also participated. Read more
Awake Security: Awake Security is an advanced network traffic analysis company. Awake Security has raised $36 million in Series C funding. Evolution Equity Partners led the round, joined by Energize Ventures, Liberty Global Ventures, and earlier backers Bain Capital Ventures and Greylock Partners. Read more
Cerevance: Cerevance is a drug discovery and development company focused on brain diseases. Cerevance has raised $45 million in Series B funding. GV, Bill Gates, and Foresite Capital invested, along with Takeda Ventures, the Dementia Discovery Fund, and Lightstone Ventures. Read more
