TapRm raised $1.5M; Andrena landed $2.6M; Cocoon closed $3M; uLesson picks up $3.M1

TapR: TapRm’s platform aims to launch and scale new beer brands. TapRm has raised $1.5 million in funding led by The Broe Group, with participation from VU Venture Partners, Branded Strategic Hospitality, and others. Read more  

Andrena: Andrena promises its customers high-speed wireless internet for $25 per month. Andrena has raised $2.6 million led by 645 Ventures, with participation from Castle Island Ventures, Marstar Investments, Imagination Capital, and 9Yards Capital. Earlier backers also joined the round, including Afore Capital, Max Ventures, and FJ Labs.  

Cocoon: Cocoon iOS-only app aims to facilitate a closer connection between long-distance loved ones who want to check on their family and closest friends more easily. Cocoon has raised $3 million in seed funding. The round, quietly closed in May, was led by Lerer Hippeau. Other participants in the financing include Y Combinator, Susa Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners, Advancit Capital, Foundation Capital, iNovia, Shrug Capital and SV Angel. Read more 

uLesson: uLesson is an e-learning platform that connects tutors with secondary school students in Nigeria and broader Africa. uLesson has raised $3.1 million in seed funding led by TLcom Capital. Read more  

Vibenomics: Vibenomics enables businesses to create on-site customer audio advertising and to use licensed music playlists. Vibenomics has raised $5 million in new seed funding from High Alpha, Elevate Ventures and The Ricker Family. Read more 

Kasada: Kasada helps to fight online bots using its proprietary anti-bot platform Polyform. Kasada has raised $7 million in Series A funding, including participation from In-Q-Tel, the non-profit venture arm of the intelligence community. Read more  

Openly: Openly is a home insurance company. Openly has raised $7.65 million in seed funding from Gradient Ventures, Greenlight Re, PJC, Techstars Ventures, and The Hanover Insurance Group. Read more 

Yulu: Yulu is an electric bike sharing platform that maintains a partnership with Uber. Yulu has raised $8 million in Series A funding, including from Bajaj Auto. Read more 

Altruist: Altruist is a digital brokerage for financial advisors. Altruist raised $8.5 million in Series A funding led by Venrock. Read more

Coralogix: Coralogix’s platform aims to help software companies from getting lost in their log data by automatically figuring out their production problems. Coralogix has raised $10 million in Series A funding. Aleph led the round, joined by StageOne Ventures, JANVEST Capital Partners, and 2B Angels. Read more
