DataGrail raised $5M; Connected2Fiber landed $5.3M; Socio secured $6M; Physna closed $6.9M

DataGrail: DataGrail is a purpose-built privacy management platform that ensures sustained compliance with the GDPR, CCPA, and more. DataGrail has raised $5 million in funding led by Cloud Apps Capital. The venture firm had led a $4 million Series A for the startup in September of last year. Read more

NakedPoppy: NakedPoppy curates better-for-you beauty brands and tailors them to you. NakedPoppy has raised $4 million in seed funding from Cowboy Ventures, Felicis Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Maveron, Polaris Partners, and Slow Ventures. Read more 

Connected2Fiber: Connected2Fiber is an industry platform for connectivity, cloud and communications that drives growth through location intelligence. Connected2Fiber has raised $5.3 million in funding, including from Ascent Venture Partners, Osage Venture Partners, Nauta Capital, and NXT Ventures. Read more 

Socio: Socio lets event organizers build event apps that optimize event experience and boost ROI for attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors. Socio has raised $6 million in Series A funding. High Alpha Capital led the round, joined by  Greenspring Associates, among others. Read more

Physna: Physna, short for “Physical DNA”, is a revolutionary technology that compares and analyzes 3D models through shape search, quality control and more in various industries. Physna has raised $6.9 million in funding. The Series A round was led by Drive Capital. Read more

Prellis Biologics: Prellis Biologics is building human tissues for drug development, and ultimately, developing human organs for transplantation. Prellis Biologics has raised $8.7 million in Series A funding. Khosla Ventures led the round, joined by earlier backer True Ventures. Read more 

Confluera: Confluera introduces industry's first "Real-time Attack Interception and Defense" platform to deterministically track and stop sophisticated cyberattacks. Confluera has raised $9 million in Series A funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Microsoft Chairman John Thompson; Frank Slootman, the former CEO of ServiceNow; and Lane Bess, former CEO of Palo Alto Networks. PredictImmune: PredictImmune is developing pioneering tools for guiding treatment options in immune-mediated inflammatory diseases with the first product addressing Inflammatory Bowel Disease (both Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis). PredictImmune has raised £10 million in Series B funding from BGF, Cambridge Innovation Capital and earlier backers Parkwalk and Cambridge Enterprise. Read more 

Truework: Truework's mission is to make organizations more productive through modern workflows. Truework has raised $12 million in Series A funding led by Sequoia Capital. Other participants in the round included Stanford University and earlier investors Khosla Ventures, Menlo Ventures, and Founder Collective. The company has now raised $15 million altogether. Catalyst: Catalyst is a customer success platform. Catalyst has raised $15 million in Series A funding led by Accel. Catalyst had previously raised $2.4 million in seed funding led by True Ventures, with an additional $3 million in funding from Work-Bench. Read more 

Quanta Dialysis Technologies: Quanta develops an advanced haemodialysis systems for use in the home and clinic. Quanta has raised £38 million ($46.2 million) in Series C funding from Wellington Partners, Seroba Life Sciences, Btov Partners and a Swiss family office. Read more 

Ciara: Ciara helps sales representatives effectively conduct phone conversations without struggling to find the right answers or lose the thread. Ciara has raised a 7-digit seed investment round was lead by UVC Partners. Other investors include Interhyp founders Marcus Wolsdorf and Robert Haselsteiner, as well as other successful entrepreneurs Christian Mangstl, founder of Scout 24, and Felix Haas, founder of Amiando and IDnow as well as the co-organizer and host of Bits & Pretzels, Germany’s largest founders' festival.  Read more
