Reena Jadhav interviews Jed Katz about what he likes to invest in

Javelin Venture Partners is a three-year-old early-stage venture firm based in San Francisco. Earlier this year, the company raised its second fund valued at $105 million. It invests anywhere between $200,000 to $2 million. Reena Jadhav sat down with Jed Katz, co-founder and partner, at Splash LA 2011.

Jed's team focuses on a lot of different areas in which technology can advance and improve lives in healthcare, commerce and media. He's also interested in companies collecting data and providing analytics around that.

If you want to contact Jed about your idea, be sure to be (in his words): Concise, clear and explain how you'll go after something big and sustain your defensibility.

(Note: The Splash event, hosted by Vator, is a single-track evening event and startup competition. Splash gathers leading entrepreneurs, innovators and financiers across technology to inspire and energize the audience about entrepreneurship and innovation. The next Splash event is coming up this February 2, in San Francisco. Our holiday tickets are still on. Get them while they last.)
