AnovaStorm raised $2 million, Windows 7 phone lanches, Google tests smart cars

Yahoo plans to move into video chat. The company plans to bring the chat to iPhones and Android-based phones, with Yahoo Messenger instant messenger. The app has yet to be approved by Apple.

Microsoft is going to launch its new Windows 7 phone today. Today at 9:30 a.m. ET information about the devices will become available. We already know that the phone will support neither copy and paste nor tethering.

Google is testing smart cars. The cars, which could drive themselves in traffic, are in the early stages of testing. They will not be available to the public for at least eight years.

Facebook updated their platform for developers. Changes included the ability to delete all of a user’s requests, and better tracking for plug in's. Users will lose the ability to add new tabs for applications.

AnovaStorm raised $2 million in funding from CAG Investments. This was the seed round of funding. The company will only get $300,000 upfront.


Tickets to The Social Network film sold $15.5 million at the box office this weekend. These numbers only represent sales from the domestic box office.
