With new offices in London and Hamburg, online and mobile video platform continues global expansion

kyteKyte, the online and mobile video platform for media and entertainment, announced Monday morning its continued global expansion with the opening of two offices in Europe.

“We are seeing enormous demand worldwide for an online video platform that can be a core part of digital strategies to help companies engage and interact with audiences in real-time, across multiple platforms,"  said Daniel Graf, CEO of Kyte. "We’ve decided to establish offices in London and Hamburg to help meet the demand."

In the UK, where the startup has opened a central London office, Kyte already secured a partnership with Trinity Mirror, one of the UK's largest newspaper publishers. Trinity Mirror oversees five national newspapers, over 120 regional newspapers, and over 400 digital publications. With the Kyte platform, the massive UK publisher hopes to expand video creation and consumption, boost citizen journalism and user interaction with news stories, and multiply advertising revenue.

In Germany, Kyte has opened up a Hamburg office, where it has secured a number of partnerships with media companies there. N24, a German TV news channel, has used Kyte for mobile to deliver live streams of U.S. elections. Similarly, a new show on MTV called vasta.tv uses Kyte's technology to broadcast mobile video content to the Web. ProSieben (or Pro7, in English), another German TV station, has employed Kyte online video distribution platform to drive audience engagement. Finally, StudiVZ, one of the largest social networking sites in Europe (with over 15,000,000 users), uses Kyte to stream user-generated video content during election times.

Kyte is not just expanding regionally. Less than two weeks ago, the startup revealed that its online and mobile video platform would soon be made available for Google Android and Nokia phones, furthering its reach from simply iPhone and BlackBerry devices.

Based in San Francisco, Kyte now has offices in New York, London, Hamburg, and Zurich. The company's ongoing expansion abroad is a strong sign of healthy growth and we'll be sure to continue watching the evolution of their video platform closely.
