One True Media, Xobni, and Evernote are among startups that raise funds

The following are startups in the consumer Internet, digital media, advertising, and mobile sectors that raised money this past holiday week.

RipCode raised $12.5 million from Granite Ventures, Hunt Ventures, El Dorado Ventures, Vesbridge Partners, and ATA Ventures, according to a press release.The Dallas,Texas-based company is an innovator of Internet and mobile video infrastructure solutions and is the first company to address video transcoding as a network appliance.

 

 Ratepoint raised $10 million from Castile Ventures, 406 Ventures, and Prism VentureWorks, according to PE HUB. The Needham, Massachusetts company is a provider of a quality assurance certification and customer feedback platform.

 

One True Media raised $9 million from DAG Ventures, NTT Finance, Kleiner Perkins, and Caufield & Byers, according to a release. The Redwood City, California-based start up allows users to express their creativity in various forms with the media.The site is known to make the creative process simple, quick, fun and rewarding.

 

 

Xobni raised $7 million from Cisco Systems, Khosla Ventures, First Round Capital, Baseline Ventures, and Atomico, according to PE HUB. The San Francisco, California-based startup is a provider of email analytics software.

 

 

Major League Gaming raised $7.5 million from Oak Investment Partners, according to PE HUB. The New York-based company is a professional video game league representing the best professional gamers and offers an opportunity to compete and socialize through a community.

 

 Superfish raised $5.3 million from DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures, Xenia Venture Capital and the Individuals’ Venture Fund, according to VentureBeat. The Palo Alto, California-based company is a visual search engine that will eventually allow users to search by sight.

 

Evernote raised $4.5 million from Troika Dialog of Russia, according to PE HUB.The Sunnyvale, California-based startup allows its users to capture an experience or object while creating text and ink notes, to snapshots of whiteboards and wine labels.Users can capture anything from their real and digital lives and find it all anytime.
