Michael "What The Buck" Buckley talks with Liz Shannon Miller in a fireside chat at NewTeeVee Live 2008 about how he negotiates promotional consideratons in his breakaway hit show channel on You Tube. Product placements may be acceptable when it fits genuinely into his own genuine usage and discussion patterns. Because his show is scripted, he can do shout-outs and calls-to-action. He selectively writes reviews and critiques of other webseries as content for his show, as such content belongs inside his format. He also produces promotional videos commercially to specification for YouTube distribution, while using pecuniary deal size guidelines, just as with shout-outs and mentions inside of "What the Buck".
