Movidia, Vidyo, and Shopit are among companies that raised funds

 

Here's another look at some of the funding announcements across the social network, community, video, digital media and advertising sectors. 

 

 Like raised $32.7 million from Menlo Ventures, Crosslink Capital, BlueRun Ventures, Bay Partners, and Leapfrog Ventures, according to PE Hub. The San Mateo, California-based start up is a visual search engine for online shopping.

 

 

 

Movidia raised $14 million from Celtic House Venture Partners, Capital-E, Emertec Gestion, AIB Seed Capital Fund and Enterprise Ireland, according to a press release. The Ireland and Hong Kong- based start up is known as a mobile video processor company.


 


VBrick Systems raised $10.4 million from Adams Capital Management, Menlo   Ventures, Morgan Stanley Venture Partners, Redshift Ventures and Two River Associates, according to Digital Media Wire. The Wallingford, Connecticut-based company is a provider of live, Web-based networked video services.

 

 

UnitedLexCorp brought in $6 million from Canaan Partners and Helion Venture Partners, according to a press release. The Atlanta-based company's services include accounting and administrative support for law, contracts and sourcing, intellectual property, and immigration services.

 

Trusteer raised $6 million from U.S. Venture Partners, according to a press release. Trusteer enables online businesses to establish a secure communication tunnel with their customers that stretches from user’s keyboard into their website.

 

 

Digital Performance raised $3.2 million from Rincon Venture Partners, Arcturus Capital, and Momentum Venture Management,  according to VentureBeat. The Newport Beach, California-based start up is an online marketplace for auto accessories. 

 

 

 

Vidyo raised $3 million more from Rho Ventures, Sevin Rosen Funds, and Star Ventures, according to VentureBeat. The Hackensack, New Jersey-based  company is a video conferencing provider.

 

 

 Shopit raised $2.5 million from Emerson Ventures and Propulsion Ventures,  according to CNet. The LA-based company is a provider of a widget-based shopping  service that allows users to sell and buy items through social networking sites.
