David Koretz, CEO of the software-as-a-service startup Blue Tie, began his entrepreneurial career at the age of 14. Three years later, when other teenage boys were focused on learning how to drive or who to ask to the prom, he was negotiating distribution deals with Asian suppliers.

Now on his fourth startup, Koretz shared some lessons he's learned in this interview with Vator.tv's Bambi Francisco.

The most important is something he heard from Blue Tie chairman Tom Golisano, the founder and former CEO of payroll-processing giant Paychex.

"You don't have to be successful every time, just your last time," Koretz said Golisano told him.
