Innovative companies often ignore what the market is telling them. When Apple launched the iPod in 2001, it was ridiculed, according to the Economist magazine. In similar vein, when Blake Krikorian started Sling Media, his idea wasn't cheered at the onset. Rather, it was looked upon as a bit crazy.
