Digg is finally coming to the iPhone, and if the screen shots Mashable got their hands on late Tuesday are accurate, the app will be robust.
Digg founder Kevin Rose first hinted that an app was in the works last year when he was caught playing with an early version last October before an interview with podcasters Arnt Eriksen and Thomas Moen during the FOWA Conference in London. The pair put Rose on the spot during the interview and asked if an app was being developed. Rose admitted they had an early version, and he seemed none too worried about letting the cat out of the bag.
We’ve reached out to Digg for comment and will update the post if we hear back. In the meantime, here’s what you can expect feature-wise, based on the screenshots.
– browsing by topic, filterable by most diggs, most recent and upcoming
– search bar, with results filterable by best match, most recent, and number of diggs
– comments on an item, with tabs to toggle between top comments, all comments and related stories.
– Full-screen view of pictures
– Of course, the ability to digg and bury, as well as comment and send to a friend
