Although the company won’t disclose its clients, it said it’s worked with a leading enterprise software company, a leading travel site, a fortune 500 retailer and a large online agency.
Along with the investment, BrightEdge said it’s built a sort of all-star team which includes architects of the original Google deployment at AOL, Digg and Salesforce.
Satya Patel from Battery Ventures commented, “With this deep expertise in search and Enterprise SaaS, BrightEdge is uniquely positioned to deliver the leading enterprise-class organic search management solution.”
BrightEdge said it would use the investment to accelerate its entry into the market and expand engineering and operations to support a fast growing number of customers it’s currently seeing.
