First place in Summer of Innovation $2,000 to $25,000 Competition

Service Jobs Now (SJN) is an online networking site working to introduce applicants looking for jobs in the hospitality service industry with employers looking for work. SJN is a place for hospitality employers such as Hotels, Restaurants, Bars, and Nightclubs to post job openings, shifts, or just their profile to be noticed by eager applicants looking for work. Applicants are able to create profiles and submit resumes to venues of their choice, without the hassle of leaving home, paying for parking and transportation, or even printing a resume. SJN is taking the industry with the highest turn over rate and streamlining the hiring process; making it easier and cheaper for both employer and employee to find the perfect working relationship in the quickest amount of time.

Competitive advantage

The competitive advantage the creators of www.servicejobsnow.com have is that they are on the inside of the service industry. Both founders have extensive experience in club and restaurant management and understand the needs of hiring managers and part time/full time service industry professionals. Jonathan is currently managing a venue with 100+ emloyees and will be implementing www.servicejobsnow.com into the company's Human Resource Department. The company has 5 venues in its collection with over 500 positions that require filling as they become vacant.

Management Bio

Alex Roizen- Attended undergrad at UCSD where he graduated with a BA in Communications and minor in Law in Society. During college Roizen co-founded SFiNX Productions, now recognized as one of San Diego's most prestigous nighlife entertainment and marketing companies. After college Roizen started La Jolla Wealth Management, private equity real estate firm. LJWN specializes in the development and construction of high-end homes in Southern California. LJWM is also a real estate and mortgage brokerage. Roizen's most recent venture is Service Jobs Now, an online hiring tool connecting applicants looking for work in the Hospitality or Service Industry, to employers looking for help. The site is expected to go live late 2009.

Jonathan O'Berine- holds a Bachelors Degree in International Businessfrom San Diego State University. He is the creator of multiplewebsites including www.clublistnow.com www.servicejobsnow.com andwww.lesstheft.com. He is the General Manager of a large entertainmentvenue in San diego, California and a consultant for the entertainment industry.

No matter what industry you're in its important to set up systems that save you time and money. What better than SJN for an industry with the highest turn over rate! Given that the founders are so experienced in the service industry I think this site is going to be a great success! They know exactly what the industry is looking for and I'm certain SJN will deliver!
