Sharon Hwang

Sharon Hwang is a second semester Senior at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley Massachusetts, earning a degree in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Environmental Politics, Policy, and Economics as well as a Nexus Minor in Law, Public Policy and Human Rights. Sharon hopes to specialize in connecting environmental issues with poverty eradication, integrating these two factors through developmental assistance in influential countries by implementing regulations / ways to reduce negative environmental impacts. Concurrently, she hopes to work with developing countries to provide ways of producing renewable energy and diverting these countries away from augmenting the environmental problems. Additionally, Sharon has a strong passion in cultural diversity and graphics. She has strived to use every opportunity to gain cultural understanding of those that she is unfamiliar with and has grown to love capturing moments for herself and for other people through photography, graphic design, and photo editing.
