Sean O'Connell is an enterpreneur who specializes in disrupting and innovating business models in music and marketing.  During the last twenty years, Sean has helpted launch the most successful indie record label in history (Righteous Babe) and was paramount in establishing the American music festival. Sean's extensive background in artist management, concert promotion, venue operations, marketing and tech startups has helped set the stage for his Allies Companies

Creative Allies is a powerful fan engagement contest and community building platform.  Everyday our online community of designers create art and merchandise for bands, films, television shows, brands and festivals. Brands choose winning designs to sell and distribute as merchandise.

Ween, Robyn, Feist, The Shins, Thievery Corporation, Jane’s Addiction, Passion Pit, The Glitch Mob, Ellie Goulding, Meiko, Ani DiFranco, Beastie Boys, Fishbone, Pretty Lights and The Doors 40th Anniversary are just a few of the hundreds of bands who have tapped into Creative Allies network of 40,000-person highly experienced designers.

As the lead strategist at Music Allies, Sean consults music festivals including Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Outside Lands, the Hangout Music Festival, Camp Bisco, MoogFest, Life is Good, CounterPoint, and Lights All Nights on marketing and strategy.

Sean has also worked closely with musicians like Ani DiFranco, Aimee Mann, G Love, Joan Osborne, Justin Timberlake and Jack Johnson, consulting them on promotion and the operation of independent labels.
