Thinking you're bigger than you actually are. There's a mentality that has to be present for all entrepreneurs that's a mix of humility and confidence. So many slant too far past confidence to cocky. This leads to overestimating your own potential and makes people arrogant in the light of change. To succeed, there must be a hunger and a fair amount of panic and true entrepreneurs balance both, ask questions, are humble and confident.
With over 15 years of online marketing experience, I have focused on driving strategy and high growth SaaS software companies and advancing winning digital strategies. In working for companies like Acxiom, Responsys, Sears & Kmart, BlueHornet and infoUSA, my experience and history in the industry is unequaled in that I have focused on the client and agency side. This experience is unique and has driven a fundamentally different view of the industry and the companies I have worked with. I am a nationally known speaker at conferences and industry events on subjects relating to digital media. In 2013 I was named one of the top 30 digital strategists in the United States by the Online Marketing Institute and keynote speaker at EEC12 & EEC14. I am currently the Chair for the Email Experience Council Advisory Board through the DMA, Advisory Board Member for Direct Marketing News (DMNews) and am involved with the EPSC. I am often quoted in books on email marketing and articles from some of the top minds in the digital space. I currently resides in Dallas, Texas and hold a degree in Psychology.
