If you're an entrepreneur or corporate innovator, why?

It's a combination of working for myself and making a difference in the lives of others.

My favorite startups:

To broad of a question to have a favorite.

What's most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?

For me there's nothing frustrating about entrepreneurship because I enjoy a good challenge. It all involves the mindset of the person seeking to be an entrepreneur. I really enjoy the creativity entrepreneurship allows me.

What's the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs/innovators make?

That's a good question because each entrepreneur takes various routes to start. I have talk with a few entrepreneur's and from those who had good ideas, they failed because they lost confidence in themselves. Also I must add as an entrepreneur always think as a Brand' from day one. When you set up your domain name even if you don't have a website make sure your "Email Address" speaks to your Brand Identity.. For example our website ishttp://www.klsljamz.com As part of Branding my Email Address reflects that rick26T9@klsljamz.com (not Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo). Hey those are great companies but you remember you're great too as a new Brand.

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?

1. As I taught my subordinates in the military, Train your mind, Train your body. Your attitude and belief in yourself and idea or vision is everything. The moment you receive negative feedback or information. Reverse it, and use it as a tool.
2. Money: Don't let that control you, (we all want to earn money for goods or services rendered) But you must love or have passion for your idea enough to work in it for FREE until you're successful or you've given it all you could give.
3. Family Assessment: It's good too talk things over with close family members. But understand this, they usually won't see your vision as you do. Don't take it personal. The way you measure your family is by their in employment. How long they worked for a single, they happiness and growth with their employment. This will reveal that their content with what they do and can't see outside of that.
